The following are general guideline for a good website ; - Ability to download quickly e.g. in less than 30 seconds
- Ability to fit in a standard resolution say 1024 x 768 without scrolling
- The images should have alt tags
- The header should have the company’s name and logo
- The pages must have titles
- Fewer colours e.g. less than 3 per page
- Less animation e.g. a maximum of 2 per page
- Images that speak; it has been said that A Single Pixel Is Worth a Thousand Words, but here at London Top we believe images should only be used if they serve the purpose for which they are intended
- Maintainability; - The website should be easy to maintain
- Usability;- The website should be easy to use, we achieve this through user centred development
- Quality; - People confuse aesthetic with quality. It could be aesthetic without being of high quality.
- In software engineering, software quality measures how well software is designed and how well the software conforms to the standards.
